Cartload OF Happiness

Being born and brought up in a metropolitan city the rural lifestyle has always moved me emotionally. I feel it was an epitome of symbiosis between mankind and nature, which had now somewhat turned into exploitation for materialistic gains. But being a child and getting to spend summer vacation at village was a fantasy for me, this year too like an annual routine my uncle had came to pick me up and take me on the adventurous journey which was going to last for about 2 months.

Although this might seem a typical vacation but this one was a bit different as this year I was going to learn How to ride a bullock cart.? They say bullocks are the best friend of a farmer, we too had a pair (Hira - Master) along with 5 cows and a mare (named- Guddi) snow white coloured with black glittered eyes and crescent shape horns they were the favourite of many and they helped my uncle in his work and also were the best runners in races.

Time to start: I was a bit frightened at the beginning but my coach(My Uncle) motivated me and first asked me to build a relation with Hira-Master, during which I learnt what affection towards animals mean, on the foundation of affectionate relation build and some commands and an eye contact they moved the Earth for their master. Level-1 was done and dusted Hira-Master were my best friends but the real challenge was riding the cart as one wrong command and they will take me wherever they want... Next morning my uncle made them ready and asked me to mount the cart and handed me the ropes along with his guidance which I had gained in the past years by observing him ride. I said "Chal re Hira" and voila the cart began to move, I was on the peak of happiness and excitement bursted like a volcano from within. We three left our uncle behind and went on a ride around the whole village it was the best day for me as I now had a skill which I aspired for long...

I was so engrossed in spending time with Hira-Master that I didn't even notice when my father came to take me back to my so called metropolitan life... But it wasn't over for me as I was ready with a new aspiration of riding our Mare (Guddi) which was to be accomplished next year...Guess what happened the next year...
